In the 1990s and early 2000s, the post-Soviet Russian government was swarming with CIA workers, and they eventually had to be cleaned out and sent packing back to the US, Russian President Vladimir Putin disclosed on Thursday, December 9 (RT).

Speaking to a meeting of the Council for Civil Society and Human Rights, Putin used the example of Americans within the Russian government to show how foreign countries attempt to interfere in their country’s internal affairs.

‘In the early 2000s, I had already cleaned everyone out, but in the mid-1990s, we had, as it later turned out, cadres of the US Central Intelligence Agency sitting as advisers and even official employees of the Russian government,’ Putin explained.

‘They were later prosecuted in the United States for violating US law and taking part in privatization while they were CIA employees working for us,’ the president told the Press.

According to the Russian leader, some American specialists were stationed at Russian nuclear weapons facilities and even sat at a desk with a US flag.

‘They lived and worked there. They didn’t need such subtle instruments of interference in our political life because they controlled everything anyway,’ he continued.

This isn’t the first time that Putin has shown clear evidence of America interfering with Russia’s internal affairs, especially in the immediate aftermath following the fall of the Soviet Union and the privatization of government-owned assets.

In 2013, the president says that CIA officers worked in the entourage of Anatoly Chubais, the deputy prime minister who oversaw the privatization process. He later went on to become Kremlin chief of staff.

Earlier this year, Ruslan Khasbulatov, the former chairman of Russia’s parliament, disclosed that the first post-Soviet Russian president, Boris Yeltsin, was surrounded by hundreds of CIA agents who told him what to do throughout his tenure as leader.

Khasbulatov even claimed that Boris Yeltsin would send security officials and heads of departments to the US so the Americans could examine them and give conclusions. Think your friends would be interested? Share this story!

  1. I wish Trump had the backbone and tenacity in dealing with enemies as Putin does. Putin would immediately have built a wall, put the military there and would aggressively deal with Mexican drug cartels and anti-white violence. Trump–again, I’m speaking as an American–and most republican white men do nothing but capitulate, appease leftists, and suck up to blacks and other nonwhites while ignoring and alienating their white conservative voting bloc. Lots of my fellow Americans think Trump’s running again in 2024 and are pending all their hopes on him, and that’s the problem. Americans–despite talking about their freedoms and their cache of weapons they have–won’t act or speak out unless they have permission to from a public figure. I mean, 2024 is three years from now. A lot can happen. Maybe Trump won’t run, or maybe the choice we’ll have could be better or maybe worse than Trump. Besides, Trump never got us the wall, he never defeated anti-whites and he never used the military to stop the BLM and Antifa rioters. Do these supporters of his really think he’s going to be aggressive now? He’s in his mid 70s and will be almost 80 in 2024. There will be more and more nonwhites by then and many of them will be voting, and they’ll be voting for liberals and anti-whites, but too many of my white conservative friends honestly think the incoming nonwhites are as “American” as your average White American is. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I’m not trying to be a defeatist; I’m trying to look realistically at our situation. That’s all.

  2. There was an election poster in Germany in the early 1930s that proclaimed “our last hope Hitler”. Mainly the USA destroyed Germany and our last hope. Too late now to stop the destruction.
