Unless we Drain the Swamp, we are Doomed

MICHAEL WALSH OP-ED: It is said the way to a film producer’s studio is past the casting couch. Much the same came to be said for those in pursuit of political or other high offices in society, media, the Church and security services.

‘A professional politician is a professionally dishonest man. In order to get anywhere near high office, he has to make so many compromises and submit to so many humiliations that he becomes indistinguishable from a street-walker.’  ~ American Essayist and Educator H. L. Mencken.

On their way to high office, the candidate will undoubtedly be ambushed and compromised in order that he or she can be controlled by shadows that the aspirant is by this stage aware of but willing to see the lure as part of his reward for selling their soul.

Compromising any aspiring politician by financial or sexual corruption is easy. Besides, at this stage, any wannabe member of a very select cabal is already primed and ready. This short explanation will make sense of every aspect of government in the West today.

It is fair to say that if, for instance, the Chinese method of dealing with corruption in parliament and congress was implemented there would be few if any survivors. It is what Donald Trump called ‘draining the swamp’; sadly, the former President fell short of his goal.

Don’t take my word for it. After all, I may be a Conspiracy Theorist: ‘The government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of the bosses and their employers, the special interests. An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy.’ –  US President Woodrow T. Wilson 1856-1924.

J. R. R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings author.

The main mark of modern governments is that we do not know who governs, de facto any more than de jure. We see the politician and not his backer; still less the backer of the backer; or, what is most important of all, the banker of the backer.’ ~ J. R. R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings author.

Former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt (1858 – 1919) ‘Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.’

There are many similar statements supporting the overview of Winston Churchill who during World War II referred to the existence of a ‘high cabal that has brought unprecedented bloodshed throughout human history.’

Compromised by the unseen hand, Churchill in 1940 rejected Germany’s conciliatory ‘back to our 1939 borders’ peace proposals. Instead, the ‘high cabal’ to which the half-American dilettante referred persisted in total war, the deaths of an estimated 50,000,000 people, the enslavement of hundreds of millions of Central Europeans and Russian, the total destruction of Germany and the handing over of Europe to the Wall Street-sponsored Soviet Union.

Who is arguing? Not President Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924). Benjamin Disraeli (180 – 1881), British Prime Minister. President John F. Kennedy (assassinated). Admiral Sir Barry Domville, RN. Assistant Secretary Imperial Defence Committee prior to World War One. Whistle-Blowers Edward Snowden and Australian journalist Julian Assange.

‘Deep state is simply the career government. It’s the people who are in the same offices, who outlive and outlast presidencies. They’ve seen Republicans, they’ve seen Democrats, they don’t really care, and they give that same briefing again and again, and they get good at it.’ ~ Edward Snowden.
