The cost of transport and food and other essential shipping in Europe rises astronomically in sanctions-mania Europe whist in Russia the price of diesel is much less than €1 a litre. Everything we buy is affected by soaring transport costs. Petrol and diesel fuel currently cost considerably more at German petrol stations Germany’s federal statistics office Destatis has announced.

In a press release published on Monday, the statistics office revealed that only in the Netherlands and Denmark was petrol more expensive than in Germany where it costs €2.06 per litre of super petrol or diesel. Fuel prices were cheaper in Poland, with diesel €1.61; in Austria, diesel €1.84; in Luxembourg, diesel €1.76, Belgium, €2.02; and in France, €1.89.

After the start of the NATO-fuelled war on Feb. 24, prices rose significantly. For example, on Feb. 21, shortly before the start of the war, super petrol was costing €1.66 per litre.
