French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has said that if she wins the election, France will withdraw from NATO’s unified military command. Le Pen is also going to propose to NATO ‘to carry out a strategic resolution with Russia’ after the military conflict in Ukraine ends.

‘I want France to leave NATO‘s unified military command. I will never agree that French troops are subordinate to the NATO command or the European command, ‘said Marine Le Pen at a press conference, quoted by TASS.

However, according to her sense of realism, the country will not abandon Article 5 on mutual protection between members of the alliance. She also promised to continue deliveries of (clearly defined) defensive weapons to Ukraine and support intelligence matters.

In July 1966, France withdrew from the NATO military organization but remained a member of the political structure of the organization. In 2009, the country returned to the military structures of the alliance.

On April 10, the first round of presidential elections took place in France. As a result, Marine Le Pen entered the second round, which is scheduled for April 24, with 23.15% of the vote, and the current president of the country, Emmanuel Macron, with 27.84%. According to polls, Macron leads the race with 51% to 54% of the vote.

The election’s two contenders will now be working hard on winning over the undecided and the votes previously wasted on losing candidates in the first round.

Anti-globalists prepare for an orchestrated mainstream electioneering in favour of incumbent President Macron. In an unholy alliance with the Teflon-coated pro-Washington political establishment, Le Pen has the edge on the sympathy and empathy vote. Essentially, she connects with her people.

It is interesting that mainstream media and dodgy opinion pollsters earlier placed conservative candidate, Eric Zemmour as being the candidate likely to defeat his similar anti-migrant platform of Marine le Pen. A massive failure of polling as Le Pen gained 23.15 per cent whereas the Jewish journalist received just 7 per cent of the French people’s vote. The failure in predictions will again raise the question; is the pollsters’ real strategy to influence voters’ choice of candidate. Source
