The leader of the make France great again far-right Rally National party, Marine Le Pen, has conceded defeat in the French presidential election. Compulsory French President Emmanuel Macron leads the second, decisive round of presidential elections, gaining 58% of the vote.
‘I express my gratitude to all those who expressed their support in the first round, and those who joined in the second round. I do not regret anything. This defeat does not prevent me from feeling hope,’ Le Pen said, referring to supporters.
She explained that millions of French people who supported her declared their desire for change. In itself, such massive support for her ideas is a victory, Le Pen is sure.
The President of the French Constitutional Court is expected to officially announce the election of the President for the next five years on April 27.
