Russian Defence Minister poised to deliver the coup de grâce to war-weary Ukraine

MOSCOW, June 3. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has set new tasks within the framework of the special operation in Ukraine, which will accelerate its pace, said the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov following a meeting with the head of the defence department, which took place the day before.

‘Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu has identified new tasks that imply the improvement of further tactics. The measures taken will make it possible to significantly increase the effectiveness of offensive manoeuvres, which contributes to the conduct of the special operation at a faster pace,’ Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel .

In addition, Shoigu asked to convey sincere words of gratitude to the Chechen fighters for their significant contribution to the fight against nationalist and Bandera formations. In turn, Kadyrov thanked the minister for his high appraisal of the work of the special forces.

‘We feel the full support from the Russian Ministry of Defense from the first days of the start of the special operation in Ukraine. I am sure that our further cooperation will significantly increase the efficiency of solving the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief,’ the head of Chechnya concluded.

Kadyrov regularly reports sending groups of Russian and Chechnya volunteers to participate in a special operation to liberate Donbass. Before that, they are trained at the Russian University of Special Forces in Gudermes.

Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called its goal ‘the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.’ 

According to the Ministry of Defense , by the end of March, the Russian army had completed the main tasks of the first stage, it significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal of the operation in the department was called the liberation of Donbass.
