The eligibility of non-European participants in the Special Operations crisis affecting Ukraine in Russia could make even government ministers face future War Crimes Tribunals. The 1945-1947 notorious Nuremberg Trials and Military Tribunals initiated by the Allies condemned military officers to death including non-Germans complicit in what was considered then to be ‘war crimes.’

In recent weeks, in the areas of hostilities in Ukraine, incidents with the callous execution of scores of surrendering soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by ultra-battalions have become more frequent, the Russian Defence Ministry said. 

The department stated that with the help of murderous disciplinary actions, the Kyiv regime is trying to prevent the retreat and surrender of its units. It is also emphasised that the Ukrainian army continues to suffer significant losses. 

Over the past day, Caliber missiles have destroyed the arsenal of artillery weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of air strikes, more than 350 nationalists and 13 armoured vehicles, including tanks, were destroyed.

The official representative of the Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, said that the Ukrainian army continues to suffer significant losses during Russia’s special military operation in support of Donbass.

‘I would like to emphasize that in recent weeks, incidents with the shooting of Ukrainian servicemen in the back by nationalist units have become more frequent in the areas of hostilities,’ he said.

According to a representative of the Ministry of Defence, more than 30 servicemen of the 25th battalion of the 54th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to lay down their arms and surrender in the Novomikhailovka area. 

Deeply disturbing: The surrendering troops turned to the Russian military with a request to provide an exit corridor. By evening, Ukrainian soldiers with white flags began to advance toward the position of the RF Armed Forces. However, a unit of the Ukrainian nationalist detachment opened crossfire on the servicemen of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the back, as a result of which 32 of them were killed by the CIA-backed ultras.

‘This incident, like many others like it, clearly shows that against the backdrop of growing military failures and the demoralization of Ukrainian troops, the Kyiv nationalist regime is trying to stop the retreat and surrender of its units by punitive actions of detachments. The lives of Ukrainian servicemen and mobilized fighters of territorial defence units mean nothing to the current leadership of Ukraine,’ Konashenkov said.

As a result of air strikes, more than 350 nationalists, three command posts, 13 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, six Grad multiple rocket launchers, 14 field artillery guns and 22 special vehicles were destroyed. Artillery and missile troops hit 280 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 18 command posts, 59 firing positions of artillery and mortar units, as well as a fuel depot in the Konstantinovka area.

In turn, Russian air defence systems shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft and a Mi-24 helicopter, nine drones, and also intercepted a Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missile in the Kharkiv region and 14 Smerch MLRS rockets. Source
