The Russian Armed Forces struck at the command post of the Ukrainian troops in the Dnepropetrovsk region, where a working meeting of the command staff of the operational-strategic group of forces ‘Alexandria’ was held. This was stated in the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The department noted that more than 50 generals and officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed as a result of the strike. Russian air defence forces also shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft and eight UAVs.

During a special operation, the Russian armed forces launched a strike with high-precision, long-range sea-based Caliber missiles at a command post of Ukrainian troops in the Dnepropetrovsk region, at that time, a working meeting of the command staff of the Alexandria operational-strategic group of troops was being held there. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

As a result of the strike, more than 50 generals and officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed, including the general staff, the command of the Kakhovka group of troops, air assault troops and formations operating in the Nikolaev and Zaporizhzhia directions.

In addition, the Caliber strike on the territory of the transformer plant in the city of Nikolaev destroyed ten 155-mm M777 howitzers and up to 20 armoured fighting vehicles supplied to Kyiv by the West.

‘High-precision air-launched missiles hit an echelon with personnel, weapons and military equipment of the 1st battalion of the 14th separate mechanized brigade, which arrived from the city of Vladimir-Volynsky to the combat zone in Donbas. As a result of the strike at the train unloading site near the Gubinikha railway station in the Dnipropetrovsk region, more than 100 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 30 tanks and armoured combat vehicles were destroyed,’ the defence ministry said.

In addition, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted a defeat on the manpower and military equipment of the 56th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Selidovo in the DPR. Russian servicemen destroyed up to 200 militants, including foreign mercenaries, who were part of this brigade, as well as two combat vehicles of the Grad multiple launch rocket system, ten infantry combat vehicles and armoured personnel carriers.

‘As part of the counter-battery fight in the Donetsk direction, seven platoons of the Grad MLRS and an artillery platoon in firing positions were defeated,’ the ministry said.

At the same time, the operational-tactical and army aviation of the Russian Federation destroyed four warehouses with rocket and artillery weapons and artillery ammunition in the DPR, as well as a launcher of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system in the LPR. Rocket troops and artillery hit 22 command posts, 48 artillery units in firing positions, and manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 123 districts.

‘By a strike by the Iskander operational-tactical missile system on the territory of the Kharkov Tank Repair Plant, two launchers of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system were destroyed. The Ukrainian armed forces are suffering significant losses from the counter-battery fight, ‘the Russian Defence Ministry noted.
