Residents of Europe should give up old household appliances because of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated by Bloomberg columnist Javier Blas.
‘Your old refrigerator is a friend of Vladimir Putin. Throw it away!’ called the journalist.
Despairingly, he explained that electricity savings are linked to natural gas savings. Most electricity in Europe is generated by burning gas, and it should be saved for the winter to heat houses. Directly household appliances eat up a huge amount of energy, writes Blas.
But if we ditch our refrigerators and freezers food will suffer a shorter shelf life and will have to be destroyed: furthermore, larders would need to be filled more often which means more trips – by car – to the supermarkets and food sources. A clear demonstration that the political elite is totally out of touch with the reality of life for the electorate.
The journalist recalls that gas is imported to European countries from Russia, that is, the rejection of old refrigerators, washing machines and other equipment will help reduce dependence on Russian energy resources, the article says.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR under threat from an invasion and ethnic cleansing putsch by the Washington-installed regime in Kiev.
