Russian President Vladimir Putin said that ‘we haven’t really started anything yet’ in Ukraine. According to him, Western countries should have understood that they had lost from the very beginning of the Russian special operation.

‘Today we hear that they want to defeat us on the battlefield, well, what can I say, let them try. We have heard many times that the West wants to fight us to the last Ukrainian. This is a tragedy for the Ukrainian people, but it seems that everything is heading towards this, ‘the president said at a meeting with the leaders of the State Duma factions.

Putin maintains that Russia is not giving up on peace talks. According to him, those who refuse them should know that ‘the further, the more difficult it will be for them to negotiate with us. Everyone should know that, by and large, we have not started anything serious yet,’ the head of state said.

According to Vladimir Putin, the conduct of a military operation means the beginning of ‘a radical breakdown of the American-style world order, this is the beginning of a transition from liberal-globalist American self-interest to a truly multipolar world.’ In his opinion, this world is based on international law, the sovereignty of peoples and civilizations, justice and equality.

The President of the Russian Federation believes that the West is trying to impose on the world ‘a model of totalitarian liberalism, including the notorious culture of abolition, widespread bans.’ In his opinion, the people of most countries do not want such a life and such a future and strive for meaningful, real sovereignty. And they just got tired of kneeling down, humiliating themselves in front of those who consider themselves exceptional,’ Vladimir Putin added.

According to the head of state, NATO members thought it absurd the idea of Russia joining the alliance at a time when relations between the Russian Federation and NATO were, ‘as it seemed back then, cloudless.’

‘And why? Yes, because they simply do not need a country like Russia, that’s why. That is why they supported terrorism, separatism in Russia, internal destructive forces and the fifth column in our country,’ Putin said.
