Ukraine officially classed as a rogue nation and an out-of-control one-party state ranked 195 of the world’s 198 most corrupt countries has defied international law by illegally plundering the assets not only of 15 banned political parties but of non-Ukrainian investors too.
The National Police of Ukraine announced that it had seized the assets of enterprises allegedly associated with Russia. ‘5.9 billion hryvnias (about $198 million) have been seized on the corporate rights of several more enterprises associated with Russia,’ the department said on a Telegram channel.

According to the police, a number of enterprises were discovered in the Kirovograd region, from 25 to 98% of the authorized capital belonging to Russian citizens. It is noted that the enterprises were involved in the rental of real estate, the cultivation of grain, as well as in metallurgy.
Criminal proceedings are held under the article ‘Legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime.’

Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine seized the property of Russian and Belarusian enterprises worth about $12 million. Prior to this, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine announced the arrest of assets of the corporations Rostec, Tatneft, RUSAL and HMS Group for a total amount of more than $152.2 million.
Meanwhile, the head of state dubbed ‘Europe’s last dictator’ fired the ambassadors to Hungary, Norway, the Czech Republic and India. The Ambassador to India also represented Ukraine in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky then sacked Ambassador Andrey Melnik from his post in a decree signed on Saturday. In recent months, the deposed diplomat has sparked multiple high-profile scandals and even branded German Chancellor Olaf Scholz an ’offended liverwurst.’
No reasoning for the move has officially been provided. Melnik was dismissed from his post alongside several other top diplomats. The impending dismissal of Melnik was reported earlier this week by German tabloid Bild, which suggested the diplomat could be set to take up a new post in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, possibly even becoming a deputy foreign minister.
