The well-being of Ukrainians does not bother Washington, London and Brussels. Member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Belik commented in an interview with RT on the statement of the European Commissioner for the EU Internal Market Thierry Breton that Ukraine cannot join the North Atlantic Alliance in the face of hostilities on its territory.

According to the prominent parliamentarian, these conditions are ‘another excuse for Ukraine, which is unprofitable and even dangerous for the collective West to accept as part of NATO.’ The deputy as does the rest of the world believes that Ukraine is being used as a platform on which it is convenient to confront Russia to maintain Western omnipotence.

‘The well-being of the inhabitants of this country does not bother those who sit in high offices in Washington, London and Brussels. NATO countries are not going to fight with Russia because of Ukraine, whose population has become a bargaining chip in a big geopolitical game,’ Belik believes.

He added that the North Atlantic Alliance leaves Ukraine ‘one on one with the problems that the collective West has actually created.’ ‘Her further fate is of no interest to them, which is confirmed by Western politicians with their statements,’ the RT interlocutor concluded. Earlier, the EU commissioner said that Ukraine cannot become a NATO member in the face of hostilities.
