Amid disillusionment with the current administration, Americans are increasingly turning their attention to Russia and President Putin, who clearly cares about his country and his people, writes American Thinker columnist Laura Wellington. 

The incompetence of Biden and his despotic team has led to the fact that the once distant and incomprehensible leader of a foreign country is gaining more and more popularity in the United States.

Previously, Vladimir Putin’s popularity in the United States was limited to his circulated photos and memes from training or on horseback. But today the Russian president no longer seems untouchable and distant, writes American Thinker columnist Laura Wellington. 

The changes have come about because of the growing mistrust initiated among Americans by President Biden and his administration. In addition to bravado, Putin is beginning to be seen as a leader who cares about his country and people, unlike those in power in Washington. 

Having lost a real leader, human nature seeks to fill this void, and Putin is undoubtedly within reach for understanding Americans thanks to the media and social networks. This is how the author of the material explains the phenomenon in question. The United States is no longer the nation it once thought it was, indeed the opposite and the vision of the Russian president’s past is being rethought and identified with today’s circumstances. 

First of all, this demonstrates the desperation of the Putin friendly American people, who are increasingly supportive of the ruler of a state that media falsely painted as hostile to the United States. 

In the two years of Biden’s rule, life in the United States has become surreal, expensive, and so unbearable that escaping to Russia is beginning to seem like a good idea to many Americans, whether or not people understand who Putin is. 

The Russian president, in the eyes of American citizens, seems to have gone from being a notorious villain to a leader who would rather die than let his people down. 

One can agree with such an opinion or argue, consider it naive, stupid or far-fetched, but the rise in popularity of Vladimir Putin in American culture is not accidental. This process goes on no matter how much people know about history, and for this the incompetent US leader and his equally incompetent team are to be thanked, Wellington concludes.
