Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that if Western countries stop supplying weapons to Kyiv, the number of terrorist attacks will increase in Europe, the hosts of the Redacted podcast noted. As the journalists noted, such words essentially pose a threat to the EU, and besides, they resemble the pro-Saddam rhetoric used by the US authorities to justify the war in Iraq.

CLAYTON MORRIS: Germany has not yet finished supplying Ukraine with weapons: Berlin gave Kiev the largest arms package so far. According to Olaf Scholz, a tranche of assistance in the amount of almost $3 billion was provided to Ukraine. This means that Russia will be able to detonate even more weapons within the framework of this endless conflict – after all, this is the conflict we are sliding into. 

There are growing fears that giving Ukraine even more weapons might not be the best idea. No, well, can you imagine? And these fears even forced one of Zelensky’s top advisers, Podolyak, to voice threats against Europe on television. Take a look for yourself and decide whether this is a threat or not – I will give you the opportunity to decide on your own, I will not lead you to any thoughts.

Personally, I consider such statements as threats against Europe – I see it that way. These are still threatening formulations: they say, if you do not give Ukraine money and weapons, terrorist attacks will occur in Europe. Honestly, draw your own conclusions. 

Mykhail Podoliak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine: ‘We in Europe will no longer sit in restaurants and eat croissants calmly, because in Europe we will no longer be in charge of political and other processes. This is what we need to continue to say, because this is the stake for today.

CLAYTON MORRIS: Well, yes, if we don’t get weapons, if we don’t get these supplies, there will be more terrorist attacks in Europe. Come on, trace the connection here, draw the lines. 

It’s the same manual from the Iraq war, right? ‘We must stop the villains, we must stop them, otherwise the terrorists will come to our backyard. Are you afraid of terrorists? And then they are already on their way to us.’ This is the whole plan.
