On February 1 1945, Poland’s General Anders reproached Winston Churchill for not adhering to the English guarantees (to defend Poland’s independence). He asked the unelected British Prime Minister. ‘What shall we say to our soldiers? Soviet Russia is now confiscating half of our territory and wants the remaining part of Poland to be managed according to her own fashion. We know from experience where that leads.’

Thieves are let loose in lawless America

Elected officials in a major U.S. city plan to pass a law that will allow thieves to sell items they steal if they do it to earn money for basic needs and trespassers to set up camp on private property when it is to obtain adequate shelter. Dozens of other crimes, including assault and harassment, will be excused under the preposterous measure if suspects are poor, mentally ill or addicted to drugs.
