Having rediscovered his gift for storytelling, Michael Walsh was struck by the thought that like pop music, storylines in novels had become unoriginal. It appeared that TV soaps, television drama and novels had one unimaginative strategy to boost sales.
FIRST HAND ACCOUNT: As a serving British seaman in the Merchant Marine, neither I nor my shipmates were flippant of ghosts on ships and ghostly vessels or strange supernatural happenings.

Among all the early pieces of literature of Europe, there are two which, at exactly opposite corners of the continent, display most strikingly similar characteristics. These are the Greek and the Irish, and the legend of the Irish champion Cuchulain bears so close a resemblance to the tale of Achilles as to win for this hero the title of ‘the Irish Achilles.’ Certainly in reckless courage, power of inspiring dread, sense of personal merit and frankness of speech the Irish hero is fully equal to the mighty Greek.
Thomas F. Dixon, Jr. was an American white supremacist, politician, lawyer, Baptist minister, lecturer, novelist, playwright, and filmmaker. He is perhaps best known for writing “The Clansman” which became the inspiration for D. W. Griffith’s film, The Birth of a Nation.
We have come a long way since 1960 when the censor’s dead hand was lifted off the D. H. Lawrence novel, Lady Chatterley’s Lover. Inspired, I then scrawled my thoughts down. ~ Michael Walsh
Was there ever more elegance and style than when women’s dress sense was further enhanced by fur stoles, veils and dress gloves. I am reminded of U.S. President Reagan’s wife Nancy Reagan when being received by the Pope. Wearing a veil this otherwise ordinary lady is transformed into an almost saintly figure.
Most people reject and many resent the suggestion that they would make a salesperson. In truth, everyone is a salesman or woman and has been good at selling throughout their lives.
I am much amused by a Hagar the Viking cartoon in which Lucky Eddie declares Norwegian girls as being the best. Hagar the sea bandit says, ‘Yes, but Bulgarian girls are pretty and they’re good cooks.’
