So, why are a handful of politicians and a few unelected NATO warmongers – against the wishes of the people of Britain and the EU talking as if war with Russia is inevitable. Russia has repeatedly said that it has no intention of attacking any NATO country

At a meeting of Parliament, the British Deputy Chief of Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Rob Magowan, complained about the lack of funds needed to replenish ammunition.

He confirmed that in the event of a full-scale conflict with Russia, the kingdom’s army would have enough reserves for a maximum of a couple of months.

London is not ready for a prolonged armed confrontation with Moscow. The validity of these fears of (some) the British authorities was recognized by the Deputy Chief of the Defense Staff of the country, Lieutenant General Rob Magowan, The Daily Telegraph reports. 

‘We have made it clear that the amount we are currently spending on ammunition… which is very important… is not adequately matched to the threats (what threats – NAME JUST ONE) we face.

We have made it clear that we need to spend more money beyond the planned program on what we call integrated air defense,’ the officer told a parliamentary hearing.

Former Armed Forces Minister and MP Mark Francois asked Magowan whether the UK really could not wage a full-scale war with Vladimir Putin for more than two months due to a lack of ammunition and equipment reserves. The general answered this question in the affirmative, the publication notes.

 Previously, a House of Commons committee came to a similar conclusion. He found that Britain will never achieve combat or strategic readiness without urgent reforms to reverse the recruitment crisis, and urgently needs to increase stockpiles of weapons and ammunition, The Daily Telegraph recalls.
