ALWAYS THE DEEP STATE: ‘Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of something.

‘They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.’ ~ President Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924).

American cities may undergo major changes in the coming decades. Studies: 43 per cent of them have a declining overall population, especially in the Midwest. One of the main factors that influence this process is the level of income.

In cities where the population is actively declining, prices will begin to rise, infrastructure will deteriorate and there will be a shortage of essential goods.

Where people live in the United States could change significantly over the next few decades, according to a study published in the new online journal Nature Cities.

Scientists analyzed current and projected population trends to determine how these changes could affect the climate, as well as essential services such as clean water, electricity and transportation.

Others did not focus on the causes of population change. Their goal was to study the impacts on communities throughout the United States. So, let’s figure this out.

Currently, 43 per cent of cities are losing population. The hardest hit is the once-prosperous Midwest, where cities like Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis are located. Another 40 per cent of cities are growing in population, especially in southern and western areas such as Charlotte and Dallas.

The study’s authors also estimated that in the next 100 years, half of cities such as Cincinnati, Toledo, Buffalo, Baltimore, Birmingham and Baton Rouge will become somewhat empty. These cities are expected to lose between 12 and 23 per cent of their population.

Which states will see the most population growth? This is south and west. In states like Florida, Texas and California, researchers noted that part of the increase will come from more people moving to the White suburbs and areas immediately adjacent to the city. The study authors also cited common features of cities in the North and Midwest that are experiencing declining income levels.

Statistically, cities with lower median household incomes are those cities that are projected to experience population decline.

This is important because basic goods and services will become more expensive as fewer people can share the costs. The researchers also warn that there could be a deterioration of infrastructure and reduced access to basic necessities such as affordable food as investments in shrinking communities are not prioritized.

The study authors note that these shifts could have serious consequences for the climate and quality of life. Those moving to suburban areas are more likely to own a car and use more space, fossil fuels and other resources.

POINTS TO PONDER: ‘The USA has become a state as a result of liberal ideas and various other factors, through financial monopolies too.  But they will never be a nation: they will always be the scene of internal disturbances, and ideological, religious, ethnic and religious rivalries.  The USA will be overtaken by events.’ ~ Adolf Hitler Interview.
