The Russian Special Operation, the purpose of which was to 1) defend the ethnic Russian populations of the Eastern regions of Ukraine from the Ukrainian Army
2) allow the liberated citizens to decide whether they want to go home to Russia or stay in Ukraine. The electorate of the liberated regions voted overwhelmingly to return to their Motherland.
Between 2014 and 2022 no less than 14,500 ethnic Russian Ukrainian citizens were slain by the truculent NATO-sponsored Kyiv regime (UN figures). Why would they wish to pledge allegiance to a NATO-backed state that had declared war on them?
Mission accomplished but what was a regional dispute has since developed into a NATO-sponsored Western Alliance war on the Russian Federation.
It is a game changer. Now, because of the stupidity of the Western elite Russia has every right under international law to widen the conflict. Neither Kyiv nor Washington has any right to shout ‘foul’ if the Russian armed forces swarm over part or all of Ukraine to the EU borders.
Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate: the situation at the front is difficult – Ukraine expects a Russian offensive at the end of May
According to the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, the situation at the front is now quite difficult. In an interview with Das Erste, he explains that without continued support, it will be catastrophically difficult for Ukraine to cope with Russian attacks – especially since Kyiv expects a Russian offensive at the end of May.
‘We expect Russian offensive operations to intensify in late spring and early summer. Especially in the Donbas,’ said the head of military intelligence in Kyiv, Kirill Budanov, in an exclusive interview.
Budanov does not expect any major changes on the front before this Russian offensive begins, although the situation for the Ukrainian army, as he admits, has become quite difficult. He did not want to say anything more about this, since responsibility for what was happening lies with the General Staff.
According to the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, the country now especially urgently needs additional quantities of artillery systems and additional quantities of ammunition.
Europe’s efforts to purchase shells for Kyiv on the world market have not yet been felt in Ukraine. At the same time, without constant support, it will be catastrophically difficult for Ukraine,

“Can the Western Alliance really by that stupid?”
Obviously, given the history of the (((Western Alliance))), that is a rhetorical question.
