The artist and former corporal who saved and lost Europe

HITLER SAVES EUROPE

The Führer to the German People: 11 December 1941: ’Already in 1940 it became increasingly clear from month to month that the plans of the men in the Kremlin were aimed at the domination, and thus the destruction, of all of Europe.

I have already told the nation of the build-up of Soviet military power in the East during a period when Germany had only a few divisions in the provinces bordering Soviet Russia.

Only a blind person could fail to see that a military build-up of world-historical dimensions was being carried out. And this was not to protect something that was being threatened, but rather to attack that which seemed incapable of defence.

I may say this today: If the wave of more than 20,000 tanks, hundreds of divisions, tens of thousands of artillery pieces, along with more than 10,000 aeroplanes, had not been kept from being set into motion against the Reich, Europe would have been lost.’

THE SOVIET UNION INVADED OVER 40 COUNTRIES

The Soviet Union (1917 ~ 1990) invaded and occupied over 40 countries and in the process martyred 66.7 million Christian Europeans (Russian source). This means 40 countries suffered their own Great Patriotic War and their peoples were crucified on Red Army bayonets.

The Soviet tyranny and democide were not inevitable. As Ariel Cohen points out, it was caused by Western inaction: ’If the West had seriously supported the anti-Communist forces in Russia, the Bolshevik dictatorship would likely have tumbled in the 1920s.’

HITLER LOSES EUROPE

‘As the armies of the Third Reich pulled back, they desperately formed a line of resistance to hold all points in the east to keep Asiatic Russia out of Europe proper.

It was Hitler’s belief that Britain and the United States would recognise the threat posed to Europe by Communism, and he was keen to sign a separate peace treaty with the West and return Eastern Europe to self-governing states.

The Third Reich armies who fought and died to hold this ‘Defend Europe’ line died in vain.  It had already been agreed that the West would abandon eleven European countries to Communism.

As late as February 1945, Hitler sent a message to his emissary, Mihailovich, the Chetnik leader, to convey to the British his preparedness to hold on to all eastern territories, whatever the German losses, provided that the United States and Britain would fill the vacuum, with the full co-operation of the German armed forces.

Britain and America refused, telling Mihailovich to make the offer to Russia instead.’ ~ Prince Michel Sturdza (1886-1980) Former Foreign Minister, Rumania. The Suicide of Europe.
