The Decadent West Worships War Criminals

Notorious former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II this week, sparking outrage from hundreds of thousands of indignant Brits who argued he should be in prison for his involvement in the Iraq War instead.

Within 4 days of the outrageous award being bestowed upon the political oligarch, more than ONE MILLION people protested against the appointment as a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, according to an online petition. A poll revealed that one-third of Britons wish to see Blair tried for war crimes. The results already are one of the highest ever recorded.

Blair was knighted in the New Year Honours 2022 list, alongside Covid-19 response officials Chris Whitty and Jonathan Van-Tam who are enmeshed in Covid profiteering scandals.

Blair received the Most Noble Order of the Garter, one of the most prestigious royal honours and the highest order of knighthood, and will now be able to use the title ‘Sir’.

In a statement, the former prime minister said it was ’an immense honour’ to be knighted. ‘I am deeply grateful to Her Majesty the Queen. It was a great privilege to serve as Prime Minister and I would like to thank all those who served alongside me in politics, public service and all parts of our society, for their dedication and commitment to our country,’ he said.

Millions of Brits, however, were disturbed by the announcement, with Blair remaining extremely controversial in the UK due to his illegal involvement in the US and UK invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

‘Tony Blair knighted for services to imperialism. The man should be in the dock of The Hague. What a shameful day,’ political commentator Liam Young tweeted, while writer and activist Femi Oluwole asked’If I help create the next ISIS by destabilising an entire region under false pretences, can I get a knighthood too?’

However, an online petition launched by Angus Scott on Change.org calling for the Queen’s decision to be reversed has within 24-hours been signed by more than 109,000 people.

The petition states that Blair was ‘personally responsible for causing the death of countless innocent, civilian lives and servicemen in various conflicts. For this alone he should be held accountable for war crimes.’

The petition says that Blair is ‘the least deserving’ person of any public honour. Source 1, Source 2
